11 Dec Inside the World of Sub-ohm Vaping
Welcome to the realm of Sub-ohm vaping. What is sub-ohm vaping? Simply put it is vaping on a device whose atomizer coils have a resistance of less than one ohm. When vaping using sub-ohm coils a substantial amount of vapor is produced compared to using coils above 1ohm on the same device. Typically sub-ohm vapers take lung hits meaning they inhale straight to their lungs increasing the vapor they can inhale each puff. Hence, the “sub“ simply means below. So what are some of the reasons that people choose to sub-ohm?
Huge Vapor Production
When vaping with a sub-ohm atomizer, basically you’ll be using much more battery power to spread heat over a larger surface of the e-liquid. This causes more vapor to be produced with each puff, which is what leads to those huge clouds that you see at cloud chasing competitions.
Sub-ohm vaping causes your vapor to be much more flavorful. The reason for the increased flavor is exactly the same as the reason for the bigger clouds: more dense vapor is being produced due to the size of the coils and the more dense vapor you draw with each puff, the more flavor you get.
The extra heat that is produced also causes the vapor to be warmer. While a cool vapor is preferred by a lot of people, there are plenty of fans of warm vapor. For them, sub-ohm vaping is one of the best ways to go to achieve the temperature that they want.
In order to be able to use these sub-ohm coils, you will need a device that fires down to the ohm level of the coil you intend to use. Don’t know what device to buy? Check out vapestrm JETSTRM, PICOSTRM and POQUETTE, which are all high powered device capable of firing down to sub-ohm.
Hopefully you now have a better understanding of what Sub Ohm vaping is all about. Welcome to the fast and furious world of vaping!
